Look at all of these sweet cousins! I can tell you that the holidays with this family will be very special this year. New babies make it all seem a bit brighter! We had fun capturing all of these lil ones together this year. Arent they adorable? The babes are only about one month apart although “lil” Austin isnt so little! He will be there to take up (hopefully not beat up) his sweet lil cousin Kate!

Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to tell you all Happy Thanksgiving! I know we all have so much to be thankful for. God has blessed my life more than I could ever imagine. Sometimes we all get too busy and just dont realize all of the small blessings around us. Do you ever thank Him for having shoes on your feet? For being able to put gas in your car and drive to the grocery store and have money to feed your family? What about for the stranger that smiled at you this morning and made your day a bit brighter! I could go on and on. I am simply overwhelmed when I do just stop and think. We get so caught up in what we dont have and what we think we need. God will provide what we need, maybe not what we think we need but what He KNOWS we need. I cant really think of a time in my life that I didnt have what i needed. Wow, that is something to be thankful for. I pray as a person I can make the world a better place. In the movie Evan Almighty they say, To make the world a better place all it takes is one random act of kindness a day. I say this over and over to my kids and to my sunday school kids. It is such a simple small statement but wow does it have so much power behind it! If we all do that every day imagine what a difference it would make. I am so thankful for so much but right now I just want to say to all of you THANK YOU! You all inspire me and make me a better person. Each child I photograph impacts me in one way or another. I am a better mother, wife, photographer because of each of you. God has blessed me with a talent that I can only pray I am using the way he wants me to. Thank you for helping me do that.

I pray you can stop and dance, sing a little, smile at all you see and hug those you love. Be thankful for every lil moment and blessing!

NOW BLACK FRIDAY……i guess you could say this is quite a tradition in my home. My sister Melody and I have been getting up (or not going to bed at all) on this day for years. We started doing it just for the cheap toys and gifts that you could fight over in the lines of Target and Kay Bee Toys. Now we just do it because we have to, THATS JUST WHAT WE DO. Its crazy and insane but ohhh so much fun. A few years ago I was even on the front page of the Tennessean running into Target…awww fame….its great :) This year I really dont need to go as I dont have any set items Im searching for or fighting for but oh yes we are going. Not sure where or what time we will be going but if your out give me a call. I will so be stimulating the economy!! Hey, gotta do my part! Oh, Imeant to tell you all that at CVS you can adopt an angel, they are elderly people that are still at home but need care. They are sooooo sweet. I got Mary, she needs a new set of dishes, a lap throw, stamps and Tootsie Rolls! How cute is she!! My hubbie got William and he simply wants socks and shirts. So sweet and I think pretty cool that they are not be left out! So yes I will be fighting for a fine set of dishes for Mary!   I will remind you to also shop local if possible. Just remember the local people that own the businesses and how we can help out here!

Snap is offering OH YES STARBUCKS AND RED BULLS and some awesome sale prices!! So after you hit the early bird deals and need a refresh stop by and see them. Tell them I sent you!

I love you all and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These lovely ladies are so so sweet and beautiful. I love them and their sweet parents dearly. I am truly blessed that they were brought into my life and Im honored to capture their lives in art. They are twins that are so different in looks and personality! Its funny how young you can see traits in people! I have to say i loooove the one with their lil booties and feetsies up in the air! sooooooo edible. i want to give them “toe sugar” which is what my grandmother always called it. She always kissed our toes….probaly still would :)

One thing I love about this time of year (crazy schedule, run run run, cold… lots of Starbucks..) is that I get to photograph so many families. Through out the year I do mainly kiddos and babies, not many families. Something about fall (oh yeah christmas cards) brings out all of the families. This one was soo much fun. It is not often that I get to have a session with all adults. WOW..what a difference :) everyone actually stayed in place and I didnt have to bribe one of them :) They have some amazing land outside of Nashville and we used most of it for awesome backdrops. They are so cute and mom and dad are the cutest ever….couldnt keep their hands off of each other…so awesome. I cant wait to finish these up.but for now here is a sneaky peaky.
