At only 18 months and 8 days old, these two stole my heart! Look at these sweet faces? These two lil angels have the biggest most beautiful eyes and those lips…..ummmummmm. Cant get enough of their rosy complexions and lips. So girly. Baby Morgan was an absolute dream model, she was awake for quite a while, but never fussed or anything, then fell asleep pretty much on cue and stayed asleep! God Bless Her! I love newborns like her!! Anna is her most adorable older sister, she was such a ham and has the silliest lil giggle!

I have sooo soooooooo many favorites from this session, it was hard to pick just a few..Ill probaly share more later! But for now enjoy these lil beautys! Congrats mom and dad, you are so truly blessed!

where has the year gone? it just doesnt seem right that this lil man should be a year old!! You might remember sweet Laird from this past year, he is a frequent flyer here at MJStudio and I have to admit Im pretty pretty darn smitten with him. Besides the fact that i love his sweeeeeeeeeeeet sweeeeet mama to death, he is just adorable.  He also loved on me alot at this session which you know just melts my lil ole heart! I really was hoping he would cry and throw a hissy fit when I left, but he didnt….so I had to leave them there! The weather was warm enough to go outside for a few and BELIEVE it or NOT….the SUN was out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See the sunflare? See I have proof that it does exist awwww feel the warmth! Then we went back into the comfy house (which is beautifully decorated by his sweeeeeet mama that is a fab decorator!) and we put his lil footed jammies on. Why? His amazingly cute, sweet, funny daddy requested that Laird be in his jammies. Why? Well because it makes him look like a lil baby again…………………….awwwwwwwwwwwww yes how sweet is that???????????? And he was right, as soon as he changed clothes he looked like a sweet smelling lil chubby baby!~loveee it!!

And then…like that. He was DONE!!!! no more smiles, no more peekaboos, no more ACHOOS….this lil man was ready to eat! And eat he did! Some chicken, tators and broccoli…ummmm.

Ready for some baby goodness? Make your heart thump,skip a beat and melt all at once? Babies that will make your insides crave another???

This past weekend I was honored to host the talented Kelley Ryden & Tracy Raver Baby Workshop here at my studio. We had 15 photographers from all over the US come in and learn! Then of course we had these amazingly sweet lil babes come in for their modeling shoot! The room is kept at 80-90 degrees and its all about the babes. Kelley and Tracy are sooo gracious and open about the care &  love of newborn portraits. Some of these shots took an hour to get right, some 3 minutes, alot of that will depend on the babe, but alot of it depends on the photographer as well. First thing they talk about is safety of the babies. Never for a second are these lil ones put into a position where anything could happen, unfortunatly some others will try to reproduce their images and put the babes in positions that could be a tad unsafe. Please do not ever do that!! Until you are in the room and watch them work you cannot understand how some poses are created, safety is always first!!!    Learning this art takes great patience and time. I mainly do on location lifestyle type newborn photography but was so intrigued to learn more and boy did I! These are just a small sample of the images that we worked on. We were so blessed with an amazing group of photographers to work with all weekend and of course look at the beautiful babes! First we had lil Henry, then the tiny twin girls, Lillie & Dani, last we had our chubby lil angel Norah. Such blessings for their families, thank you guys for sharing them with us this week!!!!
